First time mom

Snoo Smart Sleeper
This new crib has taken the baby world by storm. The technology is still fairly new (and on the expensive side) but so far reviews for this revolutionary system are fantastic and parents are actually getting tons more sleep!

La Leche League
This website is all about helping mothers breastfeed ‘through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.’ This organization is going into it’s 60th year and is even holding an online conference April 3-7, 2017.

Wholesome Baby Food
Want to make your own baby food, or have no idea when you should be switching to solids or even how? This site has EVERYTHING you need to know (and a whole lot more). I mean really, they go in depth on the nutritional value of specific vegetables, when to introduce them to your baby and even recommendations on how to prepare and store food. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

Baby Center
Everything from how to get pregnant, to videos on how to hold a crying baby. This site is a great resource for anything parent, baby and child related. I also recommend www.parents.com.

And the best tidbit of information for first time moms comes from a clip of The Oprah Show, where she discusses the Dunstan Baby Language. It’s all about how to interpret a baby’s crying and fussing noises in order to give them what they need:
